Sometimes we just want to style our hair without the damaging heat and sprays. These hairstyles only need elastic bands just to secure your hair. 

We can still achieve a nice hairstyle without using curling or flat iron. We can also stay away from those chemical sprays like strong hold hair sprays. Our hair needs some rest. Some people uses heat protection sprays when using curling irons or when they are going outside and staying long under the sun. Just give your hair time to breathe and let it be free from chemicals for some time.

Lazy Braid (Side Braid) and Scarf

A little extra is not a bad thing. Doing a lazy braid (side braid) with a little twist. Use a scarf as a headband and the extra length twisted (or braided) together with your hair.

If you don't have this kind of scarf, use a neck tie. Why not? It will match your 'boyfriend outfit'.

Application
Apply twice daily for a minimum of 3 months. During pregnancy apply twice daily from the start of the second trimester.

Home Remedies to Get Rid of Pimples and Pimple Marks

1. Ice

Get some ice cube and wrap it in a clean piece of cloth. Hold the ice on the affected area. Remove the ice after a few seconds and hold it again after a minute. Repeat the process. Do it several times a day.
The ice will reduce the swelling and redness of the pimple.

2. Honey

On a clean face, apply some honey on the affected area. Leave it on your skin for 30 minutes to 1 hour. Wash it with lukewarm water.

You can also apply honey with cinnamon (make it like a paste) all over your face as a face mask and leave it overnight. Wash it the next morning with lukewarm water.

Honey has antibacterial properties that helps the healing process and prevents infection.

3. Baking Soda

Prepare a mixture of Baking soda and water (or you can use freshly squeezed lemon juice) until the result is like a paste. Apply the baking soda mixture on the affected area. Leave it on your face for 10 minutes or your skin will get dry. Wash your face with lukewarm water. Apply some oil-free moisturizer. Do this twice a week.

4. Lemon

Dip a cotton pad on a freshly squeezed lemon and apply in on the affected area. Make sure that your face is clean. Leave it for 20 minutes and wash with lukewarm water. Apply some moisturizer after. You can repeat this process twice a day. Stay away from the sun when using this method or it may worsen your skin.

5. Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV)

Mix one part of Organic ACV to 2 – 3 parts water. Dip a cotton ball in the ACV solution and apply it all over your clean face like a toner. Rinse your face after10 minutes. Repeat this 2 – 3 times a day.

6. Potato

Slice a potato. Rub it on your clean face and leave it to dry. Wash it after with lukewarm water.

Grate some potato and use it as a face mask. Use it 2 – 3 times a week.

7. Cucumber
Slice some cucumber. Place the cucumber slice directly on the affected area. Leave it for 15 – 30 minutes. Wash your face with lukewarm water. Repeat daily.

8. Tomato

Crush a tomato. Apply the crushed tomato on your skin especially on the affected area. 
Leave it for an hour.  Wash your face with lukewarm water.

TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Shampoo and Conditioner (Limited Edition size)

I always change my shampoo from time to time (or sometimes use whatever is available). I like to try new products to see if it will keep my hair manageable and smooth. I have a very long hair and it's a disaster if it's out of control :) . I do not use conditioner regularly because I am too lazy and most of the time, shampoo can do the job. TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Shampoo and Conditioner has been around the market and I always think twice if I'm going to buy because the only available size is 600ml. It is so big and if it's not great for my hair then I just waste my money (Php350 each). One time during a mall sale, I saw this box of TRESemmé on a table outside Watsons store (items on sale).

They have this limited edition TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Shampoo and Conditioner pack and the price is only Php239. the smell of the shampoo and conditioner is okay, not too strong but it will leave your hair smelling fresh. The shampoo needs extra amount (compare to other shampoos) for it to lather the way I want it. After using only the shampoo, the texture of my hair is not as smooth as when i use other shampoos (like Dove). When I use both shampoo and conditioner, my hair is more manageable and smooth (thanks to the power of conditioner). What I like about these two is the conditioner. It is so thick that even when my palm is facing the floor, the conditioner is still holding its place.

Coloring my Hair (Revlon Colorsilk Beautiful Color No.50 Light Ash Brown)

I want to have a lighter hair color. I have no idea what shade am I going to buy to get the right brown color for my hair. The last time I dyed my hair was November 2011 and i think that was also the last time i had my hair cut (just below my shoulder). I used Revlon Colorsilk Luminista No. 145 Burgundy Brown and i was happy with the result. My hair was so soft and no drying was observed. After a year, the color faded (of course) but it didn't leave a rusty color.

So after two years, I wanted to color my hair again. The Revlon mall assistant (the sales lady) gave me two options: Revlon Colorsilk Luminista No. 175 Medium Blonde and Revlon Colorsilk Beautiful Color No.50 Light Ash Brown. The term 'blonde' scared me so i chose the second one. I have a very long hair so I bought two boxes of hair color (Price Php395 each).

Since I have a dark hair, the color is not really obvious in pictures unless there is a strong presence of light. Also, the color is more of a dark brown. Actually, I did not follow one instruction (25 minutes total time) instead, I consumed a total time of 75 minutes (20-25 minutes application and 50-55 minutes soaking).
